Closure

I think, even after all this time, that I should post on one last occasion.  Not to draw attention, but to bring closure to one creative chapter of my life.

Although I have moved on beyond the podcast, I would not say I abandoned it.  I still recall the fun times I had working on the show… vividly, even.  However, I have been far removed from the equipment and resources I would need to continue “The Weekly Smorgasbord” and, since I think this endeavor deserves more than to simply be forgotten, I feel it is necessary that I put in a last few words in dedication to an exciting, if brief, part of my career.

Someday, perhaps a few months or even years down the line, I would like to return and begin production of Warped anew.  I can honestly say I had a blast making the show each week, and if and when I am given the opportunity to pick up the mantle again, I would definitely consider it.

Just so nobody makes any assumptions… “The Weekly Smorgasbord” has NOT been canceled indefinitely, but my work schedule has been less than forgiving these last few weeks, and I doubt there will much time for me to do anything besides work, eat or sleep this summer.

I imagine that it will be another few weeks before I have the chance to return to the Podcast, so sit tight in the meantime.  I apologize for the lack of input (for the last month) but I will post if/when any news for good or bad comes this way.

A brief vacation…

Hey everyone,

Gazebob again. I’m sorry to tell you (a little late, perhaps) that there will be no “Weekly Smorgasbord” for this week. I’m going to be taking a brief hiatus from the podcast (a brief vacation- as of right now I do not have access to the recording equipment I normally use). I will keep the site posted with news as it comes up, but for about a week more I will not be able to produce any new episodes.

Note: This WILL NOT be permanent; I am NOT canceling the show- far from it.

Soon (possibly by next Wednesday) I can get everything up and running again, and get back into the groove of things for the 7th episode. Also, I may be adding a new (brief) section that will pop in and out of random episodes, so I’ll let everyone know how that works out.

I’ve found a site (box.net) that allows me to upload my files for direct-links and doesn’t cost me in the long run.  Assuming that nothing strange or unexpected comes up, I will re-post each episode with a direct link for downloading, and I will attempt to embed a media player in future posts so that you may listen to the new episodes on this site, without having to cruise around or download if you don’t want to!

This is Gazebob again. As of right now, my biggest issues are with updating the RSS feed so anyone can subscribe to “The Weekly Smorgasbord,” and I am also working on the stories for the fourth episode. Episode four will be finished and up by Wednesday this week- I will also attempt to have the show available on iTunes by that time.

Episode 3- Transition

It’s Wednesday, so that means another episode of “The Weekly Smorgasbord!”

But wait, didn’t I just upload the 2nd episode last night?

I did.

And there’s ANOTHER one already?

The fourth episode should be out by around Monday, and the fifth (if all goes well) will be out by next Wednesday at around this time.

Again, you may notice that this episode contains a “This week in history” section slated for last week, and yes, you guessed it, I recorded some of this audio one week ago… I’m a tad behind my own schedule.  Oh well, here it is-
